We are happy to facilitate a “special weekend” with flowers, a welcome hamper comprising bottle of champagne and nibbles, plus the makings of a full Irish breakfast for two in the fridge. We will use premium linen bedlinen and cotton towels amd leave a scented candle in the bathroom. If you let us know what time you are arriving we can arrange for the barn to be toasty warm, with the fire lit and a few candles flickering. First impressions! We need a minimum of two weeks’ notice for this service.

Thinking about a writer’s retreat? Are you struggling to concentrate? Working to a deadline and need to get away from day-to-day issues? Need some inspiration to finish a project, or start a new one? Come to stay for a week (or two!) in an old stone barn, secluded in tranquil gardens by the sea down a remote rural lane in West Cork, Ireland. You’ll have all the time in the world to write with no distractions, apart from bidrsong, the wind in the trees and the distant sound of surf.
Included in the €600 package is a stay for one week (off season), a short critique of the first 5,000 words of your story, and up to three hours of face-to-face work-shopping of your book, worth €335. Other more in-depth services are available by separate negotiation.
Writer’s paradise!
