The small print

Up to a maximum of four guests may stay at the Barn.

We no longer allow pets, unfortunately, no exceptions, apart from service dogs who are very welcome.

Children are welcome but should be supervised at all times in the garden – think of it as a farmyard rather than a domestic garden.

The Barn is not suitable for wild parties. We love the peace and quiet of the Reen headland and want to share it with people who are looking for the same contentment.

The Barn is seven minutes drive, or forty-five minutes brisk walk, from the nearest village, three and a half miles away.

The Barn is a converted farm building over 100 years old, set in a wild garden on an organic headland. It is not a hermetically sealed modern hotel room. The Barn is cleaned rigorously before you arrive but insect life is plentiful here (thank goodness!) and you might find the odd spider who has hitched a ride inside on the firewood, or a web might appear overnight.

Ambient humidity can be close to 100% (we are surrounded by the Atlantic on three sides) especially in damp weather. Although we make an effort to air the Barn before guests arrive, it may feel damp if there has been heavy rainfall in the preceding 24 hours. This is normal! Put the heating on – the Barn is over-engineered with radiators down both sides of the building and heats up in less than twenty minutes. Best of all, light a fire to drive out the chill and reduce the humidity.

Unfortunately the Barn is not suitable for wheelchair access due to the age and configuration of the building.

Use of the Barn and all other facilities on the property is entirely at guest’s own risk.
